In Peru, internationally acclaimed restaurants like Central and Mayta have employed marketing strategies to enhance the connection between consumers and the brand, leveraging influencers and user-generated content (UGC). The upcoming study aims to explore how influencers and UGC impact consumers, influencing them to pay a premium in the restaurant sector. The theoretical gaps addressed include social media communication strategies and the lack of studies in the restaurant industry. Notably, the significance of this research is underscored by the fact that gastronomic tourism in Peru generates approximately $200 million annually. The methodology involves an explanatory and cross-sectional approach with a quantitative design, surveying 400 individuals following influencers and UGC related to restaurant topics. Utilizing online surveys, variables such as influencer marketing, UGC, brand attachment, and willingness to pay a higher price will be evaluated on a Likert scale. The data will be analyzed through Partial Least Squares (PLS) structural equation modeling using SmartPLS V.4 software.
