The research work focuses on the relationship between socioeconomic status and completion of lower secondary education in Metropolitan Lima. The ENAHO INEI database was compiled to carry out the analysis. Hypotheses on the impact of family size and parents' educational level on students' academic success are explored. The importance of educational technologies in improving homework completion and the development of digital skills is highlighted. The study includes a theoretical framework that addresses relevant educational theories and academic models, as well as analysis of previous research. Gary Becker's human capital model is employed to analyze investment in education and skills training. In addition, econometric estimations and statistical tests were performed using STATA software to analyze the data collected. In conclusion, it was found that socioeconomic status influences the completion of secondary education, which can have a significant impact on economic and social development.
