Abstract: El proyecto presenta el diseño de un Centro de Alto Rendimiento Universitario (CARU) para ser implementado en el Campus Villa de la UPC. Dicho plan busca potenciar el aspecto deportivo en un contexto universitario y, al mismo tiempo, contribuir con el desarrollo del deporte amateur y profesional del país. De acuerdo con esas pautas, se consideró aprovechar la idea de expansión de la UPC y en particular para el Campus Villa, ubicado en el distrito de Chorrillos en la ciudad de Lima, que cuenta con la disponibilidad de un espacio anexo ideal para el desarrollo de actividades recreacionales y deportivas.
El concepto arquitectónico pensado para el diseño de la propuesta se basa en la disciplina configurativa de Aldo Van Eyck, el In-Between. Presentando el énfasis adecuado para la implementación de un CARU que permita la conexión y la transición de los espacios intermedios; y, al mismo tiempo, la motivación del alumnado en base a las acciones desarrolladas por los atletas, deportistas calificados universitarios y otros no universitarios.
The project presents the design of a University High Performance Center (UHPC) to be implemented in the Villa Campus of the UPC. This plan seeks to enhance the sporting aspect in a university context and, at the same time, contribute to the development of amateur and professional sports in the country. In accordance with these guidelines, it was considered to take advantage of the idea of expansion of the UPC and in particular for Campus Villa, located in the district of Chorrillos in the city of Lima, which has the availability of an ideal annex space for the development of recreational and sports activities. The architectural concept thought for the design of the proposal is based on the configurative discipline of Aldo Van Eyck, the In-Between. Presenting the appropriate emphasis for the implementation of a CARU that allows the connection and transition of the intermediate spaces; and, at the same time, the motivation of the students based on the actions developed by the athletes, qualified university athletes and other non-university athletes.
