Competitiveness has become nowadays the common denominator in all industries and the construction sector has not been the exception; reduction of deadlines, cost optimization, engineering support are some of the differentiating factors that allow companies in this field to remain attractive in the eyes of investors and clients who entrust them with their projects. For the case study, which is the subject of research, the challenge lies in being able to ensure the construction of projects for a particular client, who has the need to build a type of religious project and whose demand projection has been increasing in recent years with increasingly demanding requirements. The need arises for the contractor to generate more attractive construction proposals in order to remain as the main supplier of the client for this activity. Therefore, determining as an important factor the reduction of the construction period, we aim at the elaboration of an improvement plan focused on time, taking and identifying the main causes of delay according to specialized authors in the matter, which could generate deviations in the goals of the offered schedule, analyzing at the same time the risks associated to them obtaining, as final product, an improvement plan related to the management of the materials lookahead, work planning and reduction of the variability due to the interferences; using BIM tools in an initial stage, which can be used for future projects of this type.
