The investment of projects in the state from 2005 to 2022 has had an accumulated increase of 211 billion soles, many of which have not had the expected benefits, including some ending in failure, one of the main factors is the lack of good project management. This research document was developed with the purpose of granting the Intelligence Directorate of the National Police of Peru (DIRIN) a proposal for the implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) model, which allows it to strategically consolidate itself as a reference in the management of projects in the state, in accordance with the guidelines of the command and the fulfillment of its constitutional function. After carrying out the study of the current problem, it is proposed to implement a basic type PMO with the objective of prioritizing the attention of four basic services that must be implemented in a first stage, among them: the management of interested parties, monitoring and control of projects, resource allocation and risk management, which would serve as the basis for continuing with priority 2 and 3 services later. Finally, an implementation plan is proposed in which the costs, time, and resources necessary for the project are detailed, in the same way, an analysis of the economic feasibility, return on investment, and the sensitivity analysis is carried out considering the economic risks. that could affect the implementation of the PMO.
