The medical internship is the last stage of education and practical training during the university career for medical students who have already completed the theoretical part of the career. This phase is a fundamental part of medical education since, during the medical internship, medical students work in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare centers under the supervision of experienced physicians and healthcare professionals. I had the opportunity to complete my internship at the National Teaching Hospital Mother Child San Bartolomé and at the Zárate Health Center, where I was able to apply my theoretical knowledge in real healthcare situations, participate in the diagnosis and treatment of patients, perform medical and surgical procedures, and gain practical experience in various medical specialties. My portfolio consists of a presentation of 32 clinical cases from different specialties, which were collected throughout the year 2023 during my medical internship at the aforementioned institutions. Objective: To describe, critically analyze, and provide meaningful reflection on the 32 most relevant clinical cases presented. Methodology: A descriptive and analytical study of the clinical experience gained during the medical internship. Results: Thirty-two clinical cases that occurred at the National Teaching Hospital Mother Child San Bartolomé and the Zárate Health Center are described, with an analysis and reflection on the timely diagnosis and management of each clinical case. Conclusions: The medical internship is a process that provides an opportunity to interact with patients and gain clinical experience in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions. It also contributes to the improvement of informed and ethical clinical decision-making. All of this is reflected in the resolution of each clinical case presented.
