The present research work addresses the history of fashion journalism as a central idea. The first publications arose at the beginning of the 18th century and were aimed at the upper social class in France, but it was not until the 20th century that fashion magazines as they are known today expanded. These incorporated new forms of typographical composition, and the inclusion of photographs and addressed new issues in accordance with the social changes of the time. Currently, fashion magazines have adapted to the technological age by making changes in the way they create, share and sell content. They are considered consumer objects within a highly competitive industry. The publications are aimed at a younger audience and new communication strategies such as brand journalism emerged to capture their attention. The specialized fashion press has been able to generate a new source of financing thanks to the generation of articles for big brands with the use of narrative techniques such as storytelling and through digital dissemination channels such as social networks. These new changes in the business model occurred because the interests of the fashion industry are no longer focused on promoting themselves through traditional media. That is why the main fashion headlines such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar have been able to successfully adapt to the digital age to reach new consumers in a more selective way.
