The present study focuses on the panorama that is developed through the interaction between the hotel service with a 2- and 3-star category with respect to consumers between 25 and 39 years of age, at the time of taking a service. The main purpose of the study is focused on demonstrating the elements and characteristics that determine the competitiveness of hotels at the time of correctly satisfying the needs of consumers. The elements that have been taken into consideration for this purpose are the quality of customer service, quality of infrastructure and location, and the use of digital media. The present study takes as reference the literature prepared by Lujan et al. (2019) Determining factors of competitiveness in boutique hotels. A total of 315 consumers of the hotel service participated through a physical questionnaire in person in hotel establishments, as well as an online questionnaire promoted at the time of taking the service in said establishments. When determining the dimensions of the hotels' competitiveness, the service marketing theory was used as a theoretical framework, in order to attribute an approach based on the correct satisfaction of consumer needs. The results obtained in the study show significant correlations between the variables quality in customer service, quality in infrastructure and location, and use of digital media with the variable competitiveness of hotels. These results are partially similar to those obtained by Lujan et al. (2019), since in the present investigation a very strong correlation was determined for all the influential variables. The present study reinforces the centralized focus on the consumer at the moment of taking a service as the main axis at the moment of the search for a correct satisfaction and potential loyalty of the same towards the service provider.
