Centennials, also known as generation Z or postmillennils, began to enter the job market. Studies indicate that adolescents born in the late 1990s until the beginning of this millennium belong to this generation. Currently, a lot of attention has been paid to the recruitment and retention of their predecessors, the millennials. However, it is important to know the characteristics and motivations of this new generational group in order to establish adequate human capital management strategies to face the causes that generate turnover in them, particularly in the Chiclayo Branch of Banco de Crédito from Peru. For this, a qualitative investigation was carried out that involved 20 young people who work in the area of operational processes of the company in question in order to be able to know their appreciations and determine what the possible factors that can generate rotation in generation Z. According to the results obtained, it was possible to determine that the factors that generate turnover are: work environment, promotion, stability, training and lack of interest in proposals and opinions. The main conclusions of said investigation reveal that the Banco de Credito Chiclayo Branch does not carry out constant training aimed at the personal development of its workers, which generates a lack of interest for young people in belonging to the institution due to the lack of support in said measure. In addition, there is not enough support for employees to feel protected by their leaders. Likewise, a culture of motivation is not managed to retain staff, in case of not meeting the goals, the company is terminated. The study carried out makes it possible to highlight the main opinions of a group of young people corresponding to the centennial generation, so that other institutions can consider the outstanding factors and thus be able to reinforce them in their organizations in order to avoid turnover and retain the best talent they have in the company.
