Concrete is present in the development of the various activities related to works of construction, that, due to its favorable properties and characteristics, has now come to be considered the most widely used material in the construction job. In relation to the relevance of this material, it is necessary to guarantee that the final resistance achieved is that required according to current regulations, which is often not ensured, due to deficiencies in the practice of curing concrete. Self-cured concrete is one of the innovative concretes that serves to mitigate insufficient curing of concrete due to human negligence, water scarcity in arid areas, inaccessibility of structures, additional costs generated by materials and required personnel. To carry out this work, difficult terrain and in areas where the presence of salts in the water can affect the behavior of concrete. In this research, PEG-400 polyethylene glycol will be used as a potential material that promotes self-curing of concrete, for this, the optimal dosage of this material in the mixture must be obtained according to the design strengths of the concrete under analysis in order to provide additional moisture in the concrete to achieve a more effective hydration of the cement and reduce its self-drying, translating this into greater water retention in the concrete and counteracting the formation of cracks. This novel material eliminates the traditional processes of concrete curing.
