The research work is aimed at increasing the efficiency of the mandarin packaging line in a company in the agro-industrial sector located in Huaral, through the application of a model that combines Lean Manufacturing tools. Root causes that generate unplanned stops and consequently unproductive times that affected the availability and efficiency of the packaging line were identified. The current efficiency of the packaging line is measured from the OEE indicator, and it was evidenced that the company had a low efficiency, since it was in the unacceptable efficiency range determined by the Word Class Manufacturing. Therefore, the proposed solution model was applied, which is made up of Lean tools, such as: SMED and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) from the autonomous maintenance pillar in combination with the 5S and the planned maintenance pillar. Finally, the validation of the improvements was carried out, based on a pilot plan and a simulation using the Arena Simulation software. The availability of the equipment was validated, it increased by 9.56% and consequently the OEE of the packaging line had an increase of 15.86% after a period of ten months. In this way, it was possible to obtain an efficiency higher than 75%, which indicates an acceptable efficiency and good competitiveness in the manufacturing sector. In monetary terms, a 45% and 55% reduction was obtained in maintenance costs and overtime, respectively.
