Objective: Find associated factors in relation to the consumption of fruits and vegetables recorded in the Demographic and Family Health Survey in people over 15 years of age up to 60 years of age (ENDES). Methods: An exploratory study was carried out through a secondary analysis of the database of the cross-sectional population study that comes from the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES), carried out in 2019. A stratified, two-stage sampling was used, balanced and cluster probabilistic. Prevalence ratios (PR) and 95% confidence intervals were calculated using Poisson regression models and considering the study model. Results: It was found that 94% do not meet the portion requirements for fruits and vegetables proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO). In relation to the bivariate analysis on the consumption of fruits and vegetables, significant values were found in the dependent variable being consumption of fruits and vegetables with the covariates being: educational level, marital status, natural region, place of residence, wealth index and diagnosed hypertension. . at a 95% confidence interval. Regarding the analysis in the raw and adjusted version, a significant association was found between the consumption of fruits and vegetables with each of the following variables: higher educational level (PR:2.29;1.55), marital status, natural region, place of residence, index rich wealth (PR:3.07;2.15), WHO cut-off points (BMI) (PR:0.37;0.34) and diagnosed hypertension (PR: 0.67;0.66) in relation to the consumption of fruits and vegetables proposed by the World Organization Of the health. Conclusions: There is a high number of subjects surveyed in the ENDES who reveal a low consumption of fruits and vegetables.
