The world of construction is one of the largest industries in the world. The results of the Survey of Expectations of the Construction Economic Report show that the activity of companies in the construction sector in the last two-month period December-February 2023 grew by 4.73% compared to the year (Promperu, 2021). To meet this need, there has been a significant increase in the construction of schools nationwide, supported by various financing programs. Consequently, the Association of Real Estate Industries (ASEI) reported a 19% increase in school construction nationwide between January and May 2021, exceeding construction companies' expectations of 10% (Gestión, 2022). There are several specializations in school construction in Peru, such as architecture, construction, sanitary installations, electrical equipment, etc. The specialization that has been around the longest is the structural sector, which is mainly composed of reinforced concrete profiles (Boake, 2015). In the construction of Schools in Peru there are different specialties, such as architecture, structure, sanitary installations, electrical installations, among others. Of the specialties that demand a greater amount of time is the branch of structures, which is made up, for the most part, of reinforced concrete batches (Boake, 2015). During the quality control phase, the construction personnel responsible for the various areas must coordinate human resources, materials, equipment, time and fixed costs to achieve the objectives set. This includes activities such as analysis, orientation, control, evaluation and correction of distortions. Construction control is fundamental in any project, regardless of its size, because it shows whether the progress of the works is in accordance with the quality, costs and deadlines, which are the parameters that determine the success of the project (Cervantes, n.d.-b.). -Use of technologies such as videos and photographs. -Progress and expense reports. -Physical and financial comparison models of the project. -Graphic representations of project progress for each activity or in general, showing what has been done and what remains to be done. -Activity reports at specific times. Although project tracking and quality control tools exist, manual tracking is slow, extensive and inaccurate. About 2 percent of construction jobs require manual recording of condition information. Personnel responsible for preparing construction reports for inspection tasks spend 30 to 50 percent of their time preparing them. In addition, in many cases some data may be omitted, resulting in inaccurate performance measurements. Delays in control measurements occur due to inefficiencies in data collection and interpretation and failure to take timely corrective actions (Soman, Raphael, and Varghese, 2020). It should be noted that the use of technical resources alone is not sufficient to improve quality control through the introduction of new digital tools in the construction industry, such as PlanRadar. It is necessary for the company to have trained personnel and resources to make decisions and be able to cooperate to develop more efficient processes and guarantee the final product to the client.
