One of the new trends in payment methods for online purchases are FinTech’s, which combine banking and technology to create an agile environment to carry out various types of transactions such as online purchases, loans, currency exchange, etc. Within fintech’s, there are various types of items, in the case of this work, we will focus on the item of payment gateways, which aim to be a technological and financial intermediary between banks and associated companies or also called shops. That is, a company, which can be an airline, connects to the payment gateway to offer various payment methods and increase sales, and the payment gateway, in turn, connects with various financial and non-financial institutions., to expand its capillarity of payment methods. One of the main challenges for payment gateways is finding a suitable product for each type of consumer and industry, and the best way to measure the acceptance of their products is the conversion rate. For the case study, we focus on the activity of a Peruvian payment gateway that has experienced a decrease in its conversion rate, which has made it less competitive in the market and away from market conversion trends. For this reason, process management will be applied to identify processes that are being considered in isolation and manage to guide all processes towards increasing conversion, given that if conversion increases, the company's profits also increase.
