The following professional sufficiency work presents an implementation of the improvements in the delivery process of products purchased through the online channel to the end customer, within the committed time, and its main objective is to increase the level of online service (Omnichannel flow of the E -Commerce) of a department store, a transnational Retail company in Peru (Tiendas por Departamento Ripley SAC), for which different causes have been identified as opportunities for improvement, of which the most representative is picking management for the search for sales products through the online channel and dispatch, since we have improved said process and increased the service level from 94% to 97% between the years 2022 and 2023 by making improvements in the processes that reduced the rejection rate in orders that mean lost sales. The implementation of the improvement in the level of service was carried out using various Industrial Engineering tools, such as Ishikawa or fish diagram, Pareto diagram to identify the causes and for improvements the 5 s, method engineering, maintenance of warehouses and stocks (supply chain), and an approximate increase of 2,020 soles per day was obtained, which represents 2.3% of daily sales and an increase in annual income of 727,040 soles. Therefore, an efficiency of 50% success was estimated, so there was annual income of 363, 519.73 soles without VAT. This improvement was only applied to physical department stores and does not apply to the Distribution Center, being financially viable due to the positive NPV indicators and an IRR higher than the calculated opportunity cost of 19%.
