In the present thesis, the seismic performance evaluation for a three-story essential structure with a portal frame and structural wall system was developed. For this purpose, seismic performance was performed by means of nonlinear static analysis (Pushover) and incremental dynamic analysis (IDA). Likewise, for the non-linear analyses, recommendations from ATC-40 (1996); FEMA 273 (1997); FEMA 356 (2000); FEMA 440 (2005); ASCE41-13, as well as VISION 2000 SEAOC (1995). The Etabs program was used to carry out these analyses. For the verification of the numerical model, a parallel model was performed using the rigid arm concepts for the plates, which results in the acceptance of this model. First, the Nonlinear Static Analysis - Pushover was performed, for this it was necessary to review and develop concepts of seismic danger, constitutive models of the materials, curvature moment diagrams, plastic patella formation, seismic spectrum, capacity spectrum, capacity curve, performance points and performance levels. Second, the Incremental Dynamic Analysis was performed, where theories such as vulnerability of the structure, accelerogram selection criteria, scale factor, measurement intensity, damage measurement and IDA curves were developed. The latter method yields a very broad database with which the statistical treatment was carried out, such as percentiles, standard deviation, distribution functions, frailty curves and population mean. Finally, the methodology carried out demonstrated that the structure has a greater capacity in a dynamic curve (IDA) than in a static one (Pushover).
