This work is focused on the textile sector, which covers an endless number of products that are linked to the creation of a final garment, which is used largely by the population. To carry out this work, we have used information provided by the company which focuses on the production of various clothing items. According to the analysis carried out on the polo shirt production line, it was determined that by implementing the Lean methodology and work standardization we would reduce the additional time taken in reprocessing, optimize the spaces in the work area and maintain a way of working stable. The problem that was identified was the low quality rate that was present in the making of polo shirts, which has a lower percentage than the standard. High quantities of garments that were being reprocessed and that had defects were identified. Therefore, different sources of particular cases were reviewed to help us support the use of the aforementioned tools to increase quality and reduce unproductive times. After having analyzed all the information obtained, an improvement pilot was developed and after implementation, results were obtained such as an increase in the quality rate by 10.3% and a reduction in unnecessary time by 10%. We hope that the study and implementation carried out will be a link to provide solutions to new cases in the textile sector.
