The objective of this research work is to determine the impact of remote work on the work performance of administrative collaborators of the main retailers during COVID-19 in Metropolitan Lima. The choice of the topic is due to the fact that the selected variables were perfect candidates to be studied because, in the first instance, “remote work“ was a new modality very little used in Peru and “job performance“ is a indicator that measures productivity and allows organizations to identify critical points to continue improving organizational performance. Thus, to verify the hypotheses of this study, the questionnaires of The Influence of Teleworking on Performance and Employees' Counterproductive Behavior by Marcela Nemteanu & Dan Dabija and Estrategias de Gestión en el Trabajo Remoto by Liana Stanca & de Vera y Rodriguez were used. . After that, a quantitative and causal investigation was carried out with a sample of 339 administrative collaborators of the main retailers of Metropolitan Lima, obtaining as a result that remote work significantly influences the work performance of employees. The findings of this work are relevant for the main retail companies in Metropolitan Lima since they report on the points of view of their employees working from home. Today, it is a controversial modality for many companies that want to leave behind the technological advance and return to the prespecialty.
