The study focuses on increasing the availability of ammonium nitrate matrix emulsion production equipment, an explosive component used in open pit and underground mining for earth removal. Based on the evaluation carried out, it was found that the main problem that the company is going through is the low availability of its production equipment, which is less than 84%, affecting the indicator and generating an X% increase in repair and maintenance costs. A review of the literature that mentions combined maintenance was carried out and proceeded to use four pillars of Total Productive Maintenance, the Analysis of the Mode and Failure Effects of Maintenance Centered on Reliability and propose the 5 S methodology as a basis to achieve the discipline that is needed for all personnel to be involved in the implementation of the aforementioned tools. The result after the implementation is to reduce the impact of the identified root causes that generate the problem of a high level of dissatisfaction of the company's customers. On the one hand, this reduction is due to the fact that the MTTR maintenance indicator is reduced by 23% and the MTBF increases by 36%; For this reason, the equipment availability indicator is increased by 10%. On the other hand, the reduction in economic losses that arise is one %.
