The poultry industry in Peru presents some challenges for SME companies that aspire to excel in this market. Informality and unfair competition have meant that many chicken marketers do not plan to provide an optimal level of service to their customers. In that sense, aspects such as quality, delivery times and order accuracy have not been analyzed and optimized in order to achieve a competitive advantage. The company under study has as its main policy to provide an optimal level of service with an OTIF of 85% as a goal. However, the diagnosis carried out in 2022 shows that the indicator has a value of 67.58%. The main reasons that affect the level of service in the company are delays in deliveries and delivery of incomplete orders. This work demonstrates that through the use of tools such as Line Balance and 5S methodology within the framework of the Lean philosophy, they allow achieving an OTIF 89.28% that exceeds the value expected by the company, thus managing to increase its level of service and generate an advantage. competitive in the market.
