Introduction: In 2018, the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) carried out the Survey Directed to the Venezuelan Population Residing in the Country (ENPOVE), where we found important data on the prevalence of chronic diseases such as asthma, diabetes, arterial hypertension and arthritis in this migrant population, so this issue would be novel. Methods: This is an exploratory, cross-sectional, analytical observational study, based on the secondary analysis of the database. The ENPOVE survey included people born in Venezuela residing in the urban area of 5 cities: La Libertad, Tumbes, Cusco and Arequipa, and Metropolitan Lima divided by zones (Central Lima, East Lima, North Lima, and South Lima) and the Constitutional province from Callao; who voluntarily responded to the ENPOVE survey. Results: Lima had the highest proportion (91.27%), the tertiles of age were 18-28 years (35.77%), 29-40 years (31.46%), and 41-87 years (32.77%); and female sex had a higher frequency (58.19%). Married / cohabiting had the highest frequency (55.11%); higher education (58.53%), as well as the middle tertile of socioeconomic level (54.1%). They worked the previous week (76.21%), those who were not affiliated with health insurance (92.71%), migration in 2018 (73.3%), immigration status in process (49.1%), those who suffered discrimination (54.79%) , did not witness violence (58.75%), not disabled (94.21%). Overcrowding rate 1-2 (66.19%), only having a chronic disease (94.95%), not receiving treatment for their disease (78.03%). Conclusions: The relapse rate of chronic diseases was 13.34%. In Peru in 2018, it was 63% less likely to self-report relapses of chronic diseases, compared to those that arrived before 2017 (PR 0.37; 95% CI 0.20-0.68). There was a higher prevalence of relapses in women, low socioeconomic status, and those who did not receive treatment for their chronic disease.
