The objective of this work is to detail the solution to the problem identified in the purchasing area of a company that markets and imports automotive products, by incorporating industrial engineering tools. This will contribute both to the supply chain and to other areas of the company, and will also favor future companies in the sector that have similar or the same problems. For this reason, Lean Purchasing tools were implemented, taking the perfect order indicator, to measure the quality of the comprehensive management of product delivery. Before starting the project, the perfect order rate of the company under study was determined through an internal evaluation, giving a value of 42.7%, considered critical. Therefore, with the tools of this methodology, it was evident that the company did not have correct control of its processes and it was possible to correct the reasons and causes. With the implementation of 5S, FIFO and supplier approval tools, positive results were obtained for the company, obtaining a perfect order indicator value of 56.8%. The structure of the work will consist of four chapters, the first will develop the background of the sector and the theoretical framework, in the second chapter, the problems of the organization will be detailed; in the third, the engineering proposal that provided a solution to the problem and, finally, the results of the implementation.
