Due to the great attention that family businesses have attracted in the economic momentum that Peru has acquired and for which it has been characterized in the Latin American region, it is necessary to analyze their behavior with respect to their changes and evolutions. For this reason, the present study seeks to analyze the commitment of generation Z in the succession of Peruvian family businesses in the gastronomic sector of eastern Lima in the districts of Ate and La Molina during the year 2023. For this purpose, two surveys have been applied to a sample of entrepreneurs who have assumed the management of a family business as succession and whose age places them within certain characteristics that may represent points of support or weakness to achieve the best performance of this. The reliability of the results is based on the validation of the analysis instrument through expert validation and measurement with the Conbach's alpha index. The main result of this study is that the commitment that a generation Z manager assumes with respect to the gastronomic family business he/she has received through succession is positive thanks to the characteristics of his/her generation.
