In 2013, the World Health Organization (WHO) gave the initiative to eliminate mercury from medical devices, including thermometers, whose deadline was 2020. In Peru, one of the most used medical instruments is the mercury thermometer, however, when the pandemic began in 2020, the use of digital digital devices increased and after market research, it was concluded that there are brands that offer digital thermometers for adults, but few focus on selling devices for children. This advertising campaign aimed to position the “Medifay“ brand as the first alternative of choice, followed by obtaining 50% of sales during the first six months. The development of the campaign began with the identification of the target audience and the communication strategy. During the process, digital platforms, printed advertising (flyers) and activations at points of sale were used. The results obtained were divided into two levels: sales and communication. Regarding sales results, it was not possible to reach the established goal, due to the non-existent sales force. And in terms of communication, the brand chose to use the following social networks: Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. Finally, it is important to conclude with the idea that this project reflects how a brand can offer solutions through innovation to serve market segments.
