The importance of the use of Lean Manufacturing and Methods Engineering tools is that it allowed us to develop a solution method in an aeronautical wheel repair workshop that presented up to 40% monthly delays, exceeding the 4 established processing days. The methodology used consisted of the use of method engineering tools, we carried out a work sample to be able to determine a behavior model that can be analyzed; determining that, the non-follow-up of a standardized process, and the constrains of old machines were some of the causes of the problem. Due to the lack of adequate workload scheduling, the process flow has affected the timely delivery of work orders, generating delays in the delivery of wheels in an already established time of 4 days, registering values of up to 7 days. processing. This work overload is due to the increase in the aeronautical fleet, produced in turn by the increase in national and international routes, which caused such expansion, in addition to more rigorous and prolonged inspection procedures. All this evidenced the lack of capacity of the current process to support the increase in workload, being our solution model capable of allowing the recovery of 40% of the lost performance of the area, managing to solve the problem of having an average processing of 4.74 days, at a standard time of 3.74 days with a monthly average of 133 wheels, and being able to successfully process the months of high demand with up to a flow of 242 wheels. The proposed solution model can allow us to apply it to a new expansion of the company.
