The present research work is developed in a company dedicated to the production, processing and export of blueberries, which wishes to cover the demand for daily workers needed to meet production requirements: 21,000 field workers and 1600 plant workers. The following chapters will expose the problem of unharvested fruit due to the lack of capacity of the recruitment process in the peak weeks of the harvest campaign. In 2022, there was a 52% fulfillment of the total vacancies required for the campaign, which represents 16,745 tons of fruit that were not harvested on time due to lack of staff coverage, generating losses of USD 33M (thirty three million dollars) in unharvested fruit. A study of the personnel recruitment process was carried out, detecting the main cause of the problem. Therefore, the present research proposes the optimization of the recruitment process through the use of Standard Work and SLP, which will lead to an increase in the productive capacity of the hiring process and a reduction in the process times.
