This implementation began with a project through a study that was carried out on a company that generates electricity in a thermoelectric power plant, where the investment of time and resources in the management of work permits is analyzed, in which it was identified unnecessary physical transportation, the reduction of bureaucratic activities and optimization of activities, which is carried out in said management. The management of work permits begins with the requirement to carry out a maintenance activity in the plant, which was carried out in physical formats that were approved manually by the people involved in the activity, causing a delay in the process, searching for the people responsible, traceability problems and cumbersome documentation management. Therefore, the improvement implemented in the solution of this project is based on the digitalization of work permit management through a web platform (internet) with access from electronic devices such as a laptop, desktop computer, tablet or smartphone, means that help integrate the process of this management in real time, from the request for a work permit to the filling out of a digital form, sending the request to those responsible on a web platform, with digital reviews and approvals until closing of the work permit when the maintenance activity ends. In addition, you can select the status of each work permit to keep track of the process. All of this helped reduce the man-hour time invested in preventive maintenance execution activities.
