This thesis seeks to explore to what extent the coastline of Callao Bay has been altered by coastal erosion and sedimentation from 2014 to 2023. Both natural (geomorphology, geology), volcanic (slopes) and weather-induced factors were taken into consideration. man. due to the constant activity that occurs in said area For the analysis and processing of satellite images from LANDSAT 8 and 9, the QGIS software was used. The distances that determine the variation of the coastline will be determined using the same software. The EPR method is used to determine the annual variation rate of the coastline for the entire period (2014-2023). Linear trend graphs showing erosion were examined and revealed areas with slight variations in elevation, mainly in the Ventanilla region and the vicinity of the Peru Port Terminal. On the other hand, sedimentation is frequent, with high rates occurring in areas close to the thrust fans of the Rímac and Chillón rivers. Furthermore, based on the temporal analysis of coastal evolution, we observed the impact of the El Niño phenomenon that occurred in 2017, which caused the average sedimentation rate to increase significantly. Finally, a comparative analysis was carried out with “Aquamonitor” and similar erosion and sedimentation trends obtained in this study were observed.
