The main topic of research in this project is to develop the improvement of the efficiency in the thermofusion process in a company of the service sector, applying knowledge management and process management based on the PDCA cycle. The implementation of knowledge management and process management would obtain as benefits, the increase in the efficiency of the thermofusion process, decrease in defective joints, decrease in overtime, and improving the quality of service. The first chapter presents the global situation of the service sector and compares it with that of the Peruvian state, and also presents the methodologies and tools that will help to support the proposed design. The second chapter explains the causes that cause the low level of efficiency in the thermofusion process and how they are developed. The third chapter presents the tools to be implemented that will allow an improvement in the efficiency of the thermofusion process. In the fourth chapter, the functional validation of the project is presented and the results obtained during the implementation are shown. At the end of this work, we conclude that knowledge management works together with process management in its development to acquire, store, share and use the new knowledge, besides it is important to sensitize the personnel involved in the improvement, education and training are necessary.
