Manufacturing companies deal with a dynamic production environment, in which delivery time is the fundamental criterion for capturing orders. This is a constant challenge for companies that have a Make to Order (MTO) manufacturing environment, as they seek to avoid excessive inventories while quickly adapting to customer demand in order to offer a high level of service. For this reason, in the present work a proposal is made to improve the supply and production processes based on the Demand Driven Material Requirements Planning methodology and the Process Management approach in order to reduce non-compliance in the delivery dates of orders through the reduction of reprocesses and the execution of correctly sized purchases. As a result of the simulation in the case study, 92% delivery compliance was obtained on time and a reduction in lead time by 50.33%. Therefore, it is concluded that the proposal presented in this work is applicable and beneficial in companies with an MTO environment.
