The objective of this work is to improve the productivity of the processes, improve educational quality, avoid complaints and reprocessing in the monitoring area in an Institute of Technical Education (IET) located in the department of Ayacucho. First of all, the situation of the 2022-2 academic semester was analyzed, where the problem of low productivity in the processes of the monitoring area was identified. As a consequence, only 49.7% of students were qualified in the Practical Training Course (CFP), despite the fact that the institutional norm is to qualify 100% of students in their current academic semester. To identify the root causes of the problem, a diagnosis of the current situation was carried out and the causes were weighted to determine which ones had the greatest impact using a Pareto diagram. Then, a causal diagram was designed that details the relevance of each cause, the reason and the main problem, as well as the economic impact. Subsequently, the processes that needed to be changed or modified to achieve the goal established by the institution were identified. Using continuous improvement tools, BPM and Process Management tools, the characteristics that each process must have were defined to qualify 100% of the students per semester. Finally, the results were evident, although in the 2023-1 academic semester this objective was achieved with 100% qualified students. For the 2023-2 semester, continuous improvement continued by applying a redesign of processes to improve times, the quality of service and the traceability of information in the institution.
