The objective of this professional proficiency work (TSP) is to present how a company in the textile sector increased its profitability by 7.2% by improving its manufacturing processes using standardized work on the polyester fiber line. Firstly, as part of the work, a theoretical framework is created, which explains the concepts of Lean Manufacturing, Standardized Work, REBA, value stream map and the OEE indicator. This theoretical framework reflects the trend of using these engineering tools to reduce problems in a manufacturing company. In this sense, in order to carry out this implementation, the behavior in the polyester fiber production line was analyzed, using Pareto diagrams and Ishikawa thorns, the problem and opportunities for improvement were determined. The problem detected is the failure in the polyester fiber manufacturing process, due to inadequate processes in operations, which generate reprocessing, consequently this increased month by month, harming time in the work area. This led to carrying out an analysis using three factors that every manufacturing company must consider: the availability of equipment, the production reference rate, and finally the quality rate of its products, which resulted in the OEE indicator. Finally, after implementation, there was an improvement in profitability by 7.2%, an increase in the OEE indicator by 10%, and a reduction in defective products by 10.2%, and improving cycle time by 12.5%.
