Surface mining is constantly growing and evolving in Peru, a mining country par excellence. In this regard, it always seeks to optimize times in all its processes to increase productivity and, therefore, generate a greater amount of income; Thus, this research aims to evaluate the impact of a new loading and hauling system by implementing a double-lane system to reduce these unproductive times. The present investigation evaluates both systems and establishes the amount of time it takes to carry out each loading and hauling process using the balance charts and the AVA fleet management system, in such a way that the estimated process optimization time is accurately obtained. The study used a CAT390 hydraulic excavator, with a 6m3 bucket capacity for loading, and dump trucks with a 24m3 hopper capacity were used. The loading front is in a quarry and the unloading front is called Espaldón; the trajectory of the dump trucks has an approximate distance of 1.83 km. With the implementation of the double lane system, a decrease in loading time was obtained, due to the good use of space at the loading front because the excavator manages to load on double lanes, and this translates into a reduction in queues. the dump trucks when loading.
