The poultry sector is one of the most in demand worldwide since it is part of the basic family basket and is one of the most used products in the fast food sector. That said, it is necessary to know that Latin production benchmarking is led by Brazil, while Peru is in fourth position with the company San Fernando S.A. To carry out the research project, a poultry processing plant will be taken as a case study, the problem of which is increasing its availability. The low availability of the plant is associated with machine stoppages, mainly in the Linconl peeler with 736 min, which stops due to the sudden change of rubber fingers, the accumulation of feathers and inadequate adjustment. The change of fingers is basically due to the uncertainty of the location angle of the piece and the fingers being in poor condition, either broken or damaged. Poor lubrication plays a major role in machine availability. The availability has a current value of 86.13% and the total stop times are 2107 minutes during the year 2022. As evident, the availability has a low value compared to the World Class availability, therefore methodologies such as TPM will be applied in its pillars of the mountain Autonomous – Preventive and Poka Yoke. The result after applying the tools indicates an increase in availability by 5.87% and OEE by 4.66% compared to the initial one.
