This article consists of showcasing the design of a self-contained Micro Data Center that was implemented at Lumicenter, with the goal of reducing their operational expenses associated with energy, space, and operation savings; which were the specific objectives set. Firstable, in Chapter I, an analysis was conducted at both the national and international levels of the bibliographic references that served as the theoretical and practical basis for the implementation of this project. Then, in Chapter II, descriptions of the key concepts necessary for understanding the system to be designed were included. Also, in Chapter III, develops the components that involves the self- contained Micro Data Center. It elaborates on the product selection criteria and provides the design calculations and considerations. Finally, in Chapter IV, results obtained from the implementation are demonstrated, which resulted in a 71.8% space savings, a 29.25% energy savings, and a 94.25% operational savings. The significance of developing a self- contained Micro Data Center is relevant as many companies today adopt digital transformation as part of their business processes, which involves the creation or enhancement of data centers. In this article, we present an alternative for implementing a data center through a Micro Data Center, showcasing its advantages and benefits compared to traditional implementations. This will enable both public and private entities to make data-driven decisions based on the quantitative metrics presented in the present article.
