This proposal presents an availability improvement model based on RCM tools that will be applied to a vehicle fleet where there is initially 75.66% availability due to breakdowns. In chapter 1, the literature associated with services sector in the national market will be collected, after which scientific articles on the tools used in the RCM will be reviewed: FMEA. Weibull statistics and the availability indicator. Chapter 2 includes the presentation of the company under study that addresses the clients, mission, organization chart and process map, then the situation will be diagnosed before the improvement to identify the root cause of the low level of availability of the vehicle fleet. Chapter 3 contains the scheme linking the root cause with the solution tools that will be used in the RCM, followed by the processes for implementation and the steps for the proposal that contemplate the development of the tools such as: the RCM information sheet and decision sheet, and the Weibull statistical model, then the investment budget and the proposal schedule are presented. Chapter 4 will allow a better understanding of the validation used for the proposal by comparing the MTTR, MTBF and availability indicators before and after the development of the RCM tools. Finally, project viability indicators will be presented such as: NPV, IRR and COK.
