In our country, the great problem that has been occurring for many years has been observed, which is the self-construction of houses in seismic danger zones that in the future will cause a great loss of human life in the face of a seismic movement, therefore that it is important and essential to give people knowledge about the buildings they are going to build and what type of support they should seek from a qualified professional. In the present research work, a comparison of reinforcement techniques has been carried out as well as the use of electrowelded mesh and geogrid in a common home in Villa el Salvador with a confined masonry structural system. Firstly, a calibration of experimental tests has been carried out with electrowelded mesh, conventional wall and reinforcement with geogrid to obtain the hinges to be used in the modeling of a non-linear static analysis. Likewise, modal spectral modeling of the home has been developed using the ETABS software as a tool, considering the properties and characteristics provided by the home file. With the computational model, the drifts and displacements of the modes have been obtained to then verify which walls of the housing plan will have to be reinforced by the techniques already mentioned. Next, a static nonlinear analysis (ANLE) of the structure is performed with the data collected from the calibrations for the plasticity of the concrete and confined element. The ANLE provides us with the capacity curve of the structure and with its bilinear representation, the performance point is obtained with which the behavior of the structure can be determined according to the SEAOC VISION 2000. This process is carried out in both techniques. of reinforcement to then carry out an evaluation of the reinforcement techniques used.
