Access to drinking water is still a problem in many places in Peru, so this research work presents the design of a drinking water distribution system for the town of Andamachay, province of Celendín, department of Cajamarca. This town does not have a potable water system, so the population is at a disadvantage compared to other communities and towns in the area. The purpose of this thesis is to design a drinking water distribution system to improve the quality of life and reduce the gap in access to a public drinking water network. In this way, a descriptive and explanatory research was used, as well as QGis software with an extension of QWater. The design of the drinking water distribution network was carried out for a projected average of 295 citizens. The system is of mixed type, i.e., open and closed, with a total of 25 nodes, 32 pipes and 1 reservoir. In addition, the projection of this design was made for the year 2043.
