The main objective of this work of professional sufficiency is the implementation of a foreign trade area in a recognized company in the footwear sector in Peru. The company Azaleia is a subsidiary of the main parent company located in Brazil, with more than 25 years positioned in the national market. Due to the increase in operating costs caused by the global pandemic (COVID-19), part of the production was destined for China and India, countries internationally recognized for their scale of production and competitive prices. During this transition, a series of logistical and quality problems were unleashed that the organization had not considered. These problems have had a negative impact on brand positioning and product warranty. As a result, inventory levels have increased, generating cost overruns for the organization. In addition, the slow turnover of products makes it impossible for import operations to be carried out less frequently. For this reason, through the development and implementation of an area specialized in Foreign Trade, the organization will obtain a competitive advantage in terms of knowledge, processes, cost improvement, access to a wide range of suppliers, and risk minimization. In this way, international operations will be more efficient and increase profitability and brand positioning. This work was divided into three chapters. The first chapter will present the context in which the organization operates. In the second chapter, the problematic situation will be shown and the analysis and diagnosis of the current process will be made. Finally, the third chapter presents the solution alternatives, as well as the conclusions and recommendations.
