The objective of this project is to develop an automatic system for heating and cooling the autoclave of the pilot plant of the Faculty of Food Industries, which allows visualization of the process in real time through a graphic interface. To do this, it is proposed to create a controlled temperature system through prior configuration through a touch graphic interface that shows real-time graphs of process temperature curves. The first stage is the selection of instrumentation, actuators, control hardware, additionally, development of the control board materials list and list of input and output signals. The second stage is the implementation of the design, programming of the S7-1200 controller and design of the KTP900Basic graphical interface screens. This interface allows the user to enter the necessary parameters for the automatic development of the process. The third stage is the cascade control that aims to stabilize the temperature inside the autoclave. The control has a primary PID temperature control, which stabilizes the temperature and a secondary ON-OFF control to expel excess steam pressure inside the autoclave. In summary, the project’s aimed at the development of an automatic system for the heating and cooling of an autoclave for the thermal treatment of cans, which has been implemented in the meat area of the pilot plant of the Faculty of Food Industries of the La Molina National Agrarian University.
