The heavy rainfalls in northern Peru due to the El Niño Phenomenon and the shortage of potable water have caused a lot of serious problems throughout the region. Among the main challenges are floods, land devastation, damage to infrastructure, road and bridge closures, collapse of drainage networks, shortages of basic needs, among others. These extreme weather events often lead to the loss of homes, crops and livestock, affecting the safety and well-being of local people. The rains in Piura can be a valuable source of resources if addressed appropriately. Sustainable water management such as water reuse and adequate planning are key to reaping the benefits and mitigating critical shortages in times of drought. For this reason, this research proposes the design of homes integrated into a gray water treatment plant, which will reuse water for domestic consumption in certain services. In addition, we chose rainwater harvesting as a very good alternative. This can provide a safe source of industrial water, especially in the high rainy season, and store it for months of little or no rain. Our approach will be based on the planning and implementation of solutions that provide homes that are functional, environmentally friendly and that are also competitive in terms of prices for a wide range of buyers. Considering that they are social interest homes, we will have the Own Roof bonus in our favor allowing us to sell the m2 for S/.700.00.
