Currently, the construction sector has been experiencing increasing changes due to novel technologies, new improved management systems, and the need to increase construction activities to achieve organizational goals (Demirkesen and Ozorhon, 2017). Indeed, the following case study seeks to address the increasing global competitiveness of the construction industry by improving the processes involved in the construction project in a way that increases productivity and eliminates penalties. In this sense, the process of a construction company in Peru was analyzed with the objective of reducing the number of days of delay in the planning processes, which is mainly due to poor time estimation and low productivity. Therefore, the implementation of Lean Construction and BIM methodologies is proposed, which will allow the proper management of the entire planning process through the adoption of best practices and technologies focused on the optimization of the design and consulting process. Therefore, initially Value Stream Mapping will be used to perform a more detailed analysis of the process, then the BIM Execution Plan will be developed in complement with tools such as Autodesk Revit software, to finally control the process through the Last Planner System and control indicators. In conclusion, the main result obtained was that the number of delay days was reduced from 15 to 2 days, in addition to the reduction in H-H cost overruns from 15.96% to 2.67% and the daily penalty from 6.38% to 0.67%, which allowed an increase in productivity and profitability by +83.27%.
