The purpose of this case study is to evaluate the outsourcing or acquisition of fixed assets alternatives for a small and medium-sized construction company, IMPERIO S.A.C., in Peru. It has been identified that small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction industry face difficulties in accessing credit due to their size and growth. In this regard, the problem lies in identifying viable and beneficial alternatives for such companies in terms of costs, control, and asset availability. The methodology used consisted of a comparative analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the initially presented alternatives. Aspects such as feasibility, organizational impact, and the company's bargaining power were evaluated. The results showed that outsourcing fixed assets is a viable alternative for the company, as it allows for a proper distribution of economic resources and facilitates payment for the required period while also saving in other project phases. Finally, it was concluded that outsourcing fixed assets is a beneficial option for IMPERIO S.A.C.; however, it is important to consider limitations in asset control and availability when choosing this alternative.
