According to Balou (2004), storage becomes an economic convenience, rather than a necessity. Over time, the vital function that the warehouse plays within organizations, the importance it projects in achieving objectives, and the faithful support for the different areas of the organization have been evident. Under this concept we drift towards the strategic function that a warehouse fulfills, and the need for a thorough administration to be managed within it, which supports correct decisions based on trust in a system record that should faithfully reflect the stocks. In this scenario, THE COMPANY, for the purpose of this work, made a large investment to unify its plants, production and distribution in the same district, transferring human and material resources, renewing and enhancing its new Distribution Center. For THE COMPANY, discovering that its storage processes were not fully complied with, which generated exorbitant differences between physical stock and what appeared in the system, disorder in the warehouse, delays in the picking and dispatch process and poor Management within the Distribution Area has shown signs of inefficiency in recent years in warehouse processes. In this work we have identified and intensively analyzed the problem, obtaining positive results in the short term. By systematically ordering the warehouse, practicing strategies such as ABC Methodologies in the ordering of merchandise, by implementing cyclical counts for stock control, by applying the Kaizen methodology in the processes, all with the aim of implementing successful management in the warehouse area.
