The purpose of this research is to analyze how the National Curriculum Design implemented in 2009 impacted on financial inclusion, considering three different dimensions: the possession of a savings account; the possession and use of a savings account; the possession and use of a credit card. In this research, two groups were considered: those who followed the curricular framework implemented in 2009 and those who did not. Thus, graduates are evaluated to analyze the gap between them before and after the implemented policy. This investigation uses the Propensity Score Matching method, which seeks to provide a solution to the problem of non-homogeneous individuals. In this way, through a Probit regression, a score is assigned to each person and then compared with others with a similar score considering Kernel matching method. The study uses data from the National Household Survey of Peru from 2015 to evaluate the immediate impact, and continues with the years 2017, 2019 and 2021 to measure the impact over time. The results indicate there is a significant and positive impact of financial education contemplated in the curriculum on the three dimensions mentioned of financial inclusion. The impact becomes more significant in the long term, this means that this type of policies does not have an immediate impact, rather the impact is progressive over time.
