The thesis that we present is developed in the Ica region, in the province of Pisco, in the districts of Pisco, San Andrés and Túpac Amaru Inca. The drinking water system in these localities is managed and operated by the public sanitation service provider company, EP EMAPISCO S.A. The EP EMAPISCO manages the water collection, which is made up of the system of filter galleries such as Alberto Togushi Arakawa and Pampa de Oca. Being the first, the main source that supplies the districts in question, these filter galleries located about 30 km from the city of Pisco capture surface waters from the Pisco River. The Alberto Togushi gallery has a contribution (average flow) of 350 lps. Currently, in these districts there is the recurring problem of low water continuity rate during the day, which is an average of 11.6 hrs/day in family homes. To find out the reasons for this poor operation, the drinking water system in the districts was analyzed by evaluating the supply and demand of the service using the water balance. For this purpose, records of operational values from the EP EMAPISCO were used for the analysis and carried out a future projection of the population using mathematical models, the collection source and the water balance to know the situation of the drinking water service in the next 10 years. Through the water balance prepared for the current year 2023, it was obtained that there is a deficit of 60.08 lps in the collection volumes from the Alberto Togushi Arakawa filter galleries. The analysis shows that throughout the year 2022 and until the month of September 2023, the date on which the last data records were obtained, there is a decreasing trend in the volumes captured and produced by the EP EMAPISCO.
