Currently, the religious organization has a desktop application with a client-server architecture that is used by its members to do their work. However, the organization doesn’t have its own server, because the availability of the application depends on the presidency’s computer being turned on, since it works as a server. One of the core business processes identified as a problem is the delay in the debt collection process in the treasury area due to the limited availability of the application since, as mentioned above, the presidency's computer must be turned on to use the application. The delay in the debt collection process is also because the religious organization doesn’t have a strict schedule since they work ad-honorem, so the treasury area goes to the religious organization at any time depending on the availability of the application. The consequence of this delay is that the members of the religious organization don’t pay their debts or pay them after the due date, causing the decrease of income in the current period. Another consequence is that the treasury area cannot generate the reports requested by the presidency on time. For this reason, we propose the development of a web and mobile cloud application to improve the debt collection process in order to ensure that the treasury area doesn’t feel the dependence of a local machine being turned on for the availability of the application and can do their work without any impediment.
