The main objective of this research project is to offer concrete recommendations for the use of structural concrete with strengths of f'c=210 kg/cm2 and f'c=280 kg/cm2, complemented with sheep protein fiber, in order to to control cracking in reinforced concrete housing slabs. This approach is based on an experimental approach that involves carrying out laboratory tests and tests with the purpose of comparing the different types of concrete under study. This study is of great importance for concrete mix designers working in the Cusco region, since it is based on the physical characteristics of sheep protein fiber. The results obtained from this research on mixture design will represent a very useful tool in practice for engineering projects. Conventional concrete mix designs F'c=210 kg/cm2 and F'c=280 kg/cm2 and with 2 fiber additions were formulated. Likewise, the tests were carried out in its fresh and hardened state 7 and 14 days after pouring the specimens. According to the results obtained in the laboratory, positive results were obtained in conventional concrete mixtures and at the same time in mixtures with the addition of sheep wool fiber. The compressive strengths of the concrete in the different mixtures are within the allowed range according to the test age. In conclusion, the fiber applied to concrete is a good alternative for cracking control.
