Anatomical pathology laboratories can be found in the biomedicine industry, which are in charge of generating and processing tissue samples, between other functions, for a patient’s health status deeper analysis. The laboratories’ most unreplaceable piece of equipment is the microtome, because it laminates tissue samples with a width of micrometers, that is why this study begins with the analysis of this equipment. As same as every industrial equipment, biomedical equipment requires a periodic maintenance, which usually is corrective due to a lack of availability for technical inspection, and to the non-existence of an accurate maintenance schedule. This is why this equipment’s repairment is critical most of the time and demands more time than usual to recover full operability. Is with this scenario that the proposal is to analyze each installed biomedical equipment status, collect historical data, generate a digital report with an estimated time for an initial inspection based on the maintenance indicators, and finally provide a preventive and predictive inspection schedule for the company in charge of executing each repairment. This way, the machine’s useful lifetime will be increased, the maintenance indicators will raise, the anatomical pathology laboratories’ operativity will be more effective, and will provide more confidence for the final user.
