This project addresses the problem of limited pedestrian accessibility in a section of an avenue in the city of Lima. This is due to a poor design of pedestrian paths and bus stops that makes pedestrian traffic difficult and requires greater effort for people with reduced mobility. Based on this problem, a bus stop design plan is proposed using the GH020 standard and the bus stop guide of the Urban Transport Authority (ATU). The project begins with field work in the study area to identify accessibility problems in pedestrian paths. Then, a survey is developed to characterize the behavior of users at public transport stops and pedestrian areas. Subsequently, a comparative model is developed based on the GH020 standard and the TMA/8512021 technical document from Spain. Finally, the proposed bus stop design consists of grouping bus lines according to the destination and allowing access for people with reduced mobility. The project concludes that the bus stop design proposal meets the physical and geometric characteristics of the GH020 standard and the ATU bus stop guide for an improvement in pedestrian accessibility. The final design includes 14 bus lines in 3 sections, ensuring accessibility for people with reduced mobility and providing tactile surfaces for people with visual impairments. Likewise, a totem and information signs about the available bus lines are considered.
